“THE FOLLOWING IS JUST ONE THING TO DO TO BE SUCCESSFUL ON EBAY….. AND STAY THAT WAY!”
eBay Descriptions
You must make good descriptions. For without them, your ads will never get clicked on. A good description starts with a “Headline“. A good detailed Headline will get potential buyers to click on your ads and then continue to read an even more detailed “Ad Description“! Ask yourself this… If you only had time to click on “One” Ad, which one will you choose:
First Description – Diamond Ring, Sterling Silver, Good Price
Second Description – Ladies Diamond Ring, size 6, Beautiful Sterling Silver with Flower Accents, only 2 years old and worn only 2 times. Practically Brand New. 3 day Auction, No Reserve Price and Must Sell!
Hopefully you chose the second description. Even if you were not looking for a size 6, you’d probably STILL click on it just to see what it looks like. You’d spend all of your time reading and looking at the pictures, and wouldn’t have any time left to look at the other one if you wanted to. Remember, you only had time to choose one of them anyway.
Final thought would be to posts “ACCURATE“:
- Sizes
- Colors
- Product Condition
- Weight
- Descriptions
- Information about any Flaws or Defects (such as Faded, Small Tear, Button Missing etc…)
- Product Delivery or Creation Time-Frames, as best you can
- Condition and Age (say…New, Antique, Vintage, etc…) Don’t say it’s Vintage if it’s only 5 years old, or Antique, just because it looks like it. Accuracy gets you less problems from Buyers. Accuracy gets you more SALES!
In Conclusion
A good description consists of DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS
So there you have it. Keep it simple, take your time and learn as you go.
I hope this post on “HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL ON EBAY WITH ADVICE ON DESCRIPTIONS”, has pointed you into the right direction!
