How do I get a Swift Code or BIC Code to Send or Receive Money

I know the feeling.  You’re saying to yourself “How do I get a Swift Code or BIC Code to Send or Receive Money”.  Well, maybe you didn’t say it exactly like that, but you get the picture.  A Swift Code or BIC Code attainment is not at all that difficult, as I mentioned in another Post.  It is similar to sending or receiving funds through a popular service called “Western Union” or even another like “Money Gram“.

There are a lot of freakin’ Banking Terms out there that are very confusing.  I can only hope that I can explain this one, well enough to you.

Now, If you’re expecting to receive a deposit (money transfer) into your Westpac account, from some place like Alibaba for example, this would be considered a TELEGRAPHIC TRANSFER, your payee may be asked to enter the Westpac SWIFT Code.  Here’s the Code: WPACAU2S  There are some Banks that are requiring an 11-character Swift Code,  so go ahead and use this one: WPACAU2SXXX
